 We are the Metro Athletic Dragons. We race dragonboats every chance we get during our busy academic or professional
lives. Our club is based in New York City and we
practice in the rough waters of the World's Fair
Marina in Queens. We have been around since
1997, competing in various dragon boating regattas
and festivals across North America every year.
M.A.D. is all about enjoying ourselves through
the thrill of racing dragon boats and hanging out
with a growing and diverse community of paddlers
and friends. Come join us!  We welcome all ages and fitness levels. Our practice sessions are held at the World's Fair Marinafour times a week. Just bring a bathing suit, a towel, and a change of clothes. We have a paddle waiting for you. Please print and fill out the waiver for your first practice.
